Khamzat Chimaev and Gilbert Burns set for rematch at RAF 13 in Miami

Khamzat Chimaev will face Gilbert Burns in a second bout on September 18 at RAF 13, held at the University of Miami’s Watsco Center.

Khamzat Chimaev and Gilbert Burns will clash for a second time at RAF 13 on September 18, 2026, with the event taking place at the Watsco Center on the University of Miami campus in Coral Gables, Florida. Their first meeting at UFC 273 ended in a split-decision win for Chimaev, after which he moved up to middleweight and remains a leading contender for that title. Burns, once a challenger for the welterweight belt, endured five consecutive defeats—including three knockouts—prompting his retirement, though he resurfaced in a UFC BJJ tournament last June.

The upcoming bout will air solely on one outlet Nation. Additionally, Burns is slated to compete against former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley at RAF Moscow later this week in Russia.

Why it matters

The rematch pits two well-known former UFC fighters against each other on a major televised platform, drawing interest from mixed-martial-arts fans.
