KIA's Kim Do-yeong named KBO August MVP after power surge
Kim Do-yeong of the KIA Tigers earned the KBO League’s August MVP award, edging out Doosan’s Kwak Bin with a strong offensive month.
The KIA Tigers’ outfielder Kim Do-yeong was selected as the August monthly MVP in the 2026 Shinhan SOL KBO League. He secured the honor with a.321 batting average, six home runs and a league-leading slugging rate of.714 during the month. His total of 16 runs also topped the chart. The award marks his third career monthly MVP and the second most for a KIA player after Yang Hyun-jong.
