Kidnap victim escapes via window, five abductors sentenced in Lincolnshire

On July 4, 2025, a man was drawn to a property in Lincolnshire, forced into a pickup, and taken to another location where he endured repeated violence, threats and humiliation. CCTV captured his desperate climb out of a first-floor window onto a balcony and his jump into a nearby tree before he fled down the street. Police intercepted him as he stepped in front of a patrol car, escorted him to safety and began an investigation.

The suspects' vehicle was located and stopped by armed officers, resulting in the arrest of five individuals. All five appeared at Lincoln Crown Court on August 28, receiving sentences from three years and seven months to nine years for kidnapping and false imprisonment. DC Liam Henderson, who led the probe, praised the victim's courage in seizing the chance to escape.
