Kim Jong-un urges artillery to become most concentrated and destructive force
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited major weapons factories and demanded that the country's artillery achieve the highest level of concentration and destructive power.
Kim Jong-un spent Wednesday through Friday inspecting North Korea's principal weapons factories, with Pak Jong-chon and other senior cadres in his entourage. He proclaimed that the nation's artillery should attain the most concentrated, destructive and versatile offensive capacity, serving both deterrence and combat roles. The leader linked the munitions industry's expansion to the Workers' Party's strategic aim of creating the most powerful army.
He outlined tasks such as enhancing AI integration in weapons, modernising artillery armor and automation, and improving manufacturing conditions. Visits included sites that produce 600 mm and 240 mm multiple-rocket launchers as well as unmanned aerial systems. Analysts from the Korea Defense and Security Forum confirmed the factory visits and highlighted the emphasis on advanced technology.
