Kitty Jong elected new chair of Progressief Nederland after member vote
Kitty Jong, former FNV vice-chair, has been chosen as the next president of Progressief Nederland by party members.
In a recent internal election, members of Progressief Nederland selected Kitty Jong to lead the party. She previously served as a vice-chair of the trade union FNV. Two other candidates, former MP Michiel Servaes, now head of Oxfam Novib, and Frank van de Wolde, founder of RoodGroen, were also in the running. The party also announced that former SER chair Mariëtte Hamer will head its Senate list.
