Klopp names 44 players in two squads for upcoming Nations League matches

Jürgen Klopp, newly appointed as Germany's head coach after Julian Nagelsmann's departure, disclosed a 44-player roster divided into two squads for the upcoming Nations League campaign. The first squad will contest matches against the Netherlands and Greece, while the second will be used for the Serbia and Greece fixtures, with Finn Dahmen the sole player named in both groups. Klopp expressed frustration over premature media disclosures of the list, calling the leaks "pathetic" and stressing that the selections are meant for flexible rotation, not a hierarchy of A-team and B-team.

He also noted that 16 of the called-up players have never earned a senior cap. Norway manager Ståle Solbakken joked about Klopp's "freshness" in the role and referenced his own experience with similar squad rotations.
