Korea and Germany aim to deepen industrial ties at Seoul energy forum and upcoming conference

At a Seoul gathering of Korean and German executives and officials, the fifth Korean-German Business Forum on Renewable Energy showcased how Germany’s long-standing know-how in renewable project development can complement Korea’s world-class manufacturing, battery and digital capabilities. The forum serves as a prelude to one outlet Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business, to be held in Seoul from Oct. 29-31, featuring a keynote by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and co-chairing by Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Katherina Reiche alongside Siemens CEO Roland Busch. The conference will explore AI, supply-chain redesign, raw-material security and geopolitical risks, offering Korean firms direct access to German decision-makers. Organisers see the event as a chance to turn mutual differences into competitive advantages and to cement a long-standing partnership into concrete joint projects.
