Korea Investment & Securities forges new alliances with Fidelity, PIMCO and Carlyle
Korea Investment & Securities signed strategic agreements with Fidelity, PIMCO and Carlyle to broaden research, product and asset-management cooperation for Korean investors.
Earlier this week Korea Investment & Securities entered into three strategic partnerships with leading global asset managers. In London, the firm signed an agreement with Fidelity, which will allow Korean investors to use Fidelity’s research and co-create a Korea-China-U.S. technology fund. Two days later in New York, KIS reached separate accords with PIMCO and Carlyle.
The PIMCO deal expands discretionary asset management, offering Korean customers the firm’s research, fund products and bespoke solutions such as separately managed and wrap accounts. The Carlyle agreement focuses on discretionary investments via short-term money-market vehicles, building on a relationship that began in 2023. KIS CEO Kim Sung-hwan said the collaborations will turn the firm’s global investor-relations events, like “KIS Night,” into accessible, world-standard financial services for Korean clients.
