L&T Energy wins go-ahead to construct main plant of 1,600 MW Chandrapura power project in Jharkhand
L&T Energy CarbonLite Solutions has secured a Limited Notice to Proceed from the DVCCIL joint venture to build the main plant of the 1,600 MW Chandrapura thermal power station in Jharkhand.
L&T Energy CarbonLite Solutions announced that it has received a Limited Notice to Proceed from DVC CIL Power Pvt Ltd, a partnership between Damodar Valley Corporation and Coal India Ltd, for the main plant of the Chandrapura thermal power project in Jharkhand. The notice will become effective after the joint venture secures the necessary environmental approvals and completes the limited notice period. The plant will consist of two 800 MW units, totaling 1,600 MW, and will use ultra-supercritical technology to achieve greater thermal efficiency and reduced emissions per unit of power generated.
