Lakers owner Mark Walter pledges renewed push for championship success

Owner Mark Walter, who also owns the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Los Angeles Sparks and invests in Premier League side Chelsea, reiterated his commitment to returning the Lakers to championship status. Walter highlighted his familiarity with success across his sports holdings and promised to leverage that knowledge for the NBA team.

He recognized the challenges posed by strong rivals such as the Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs, who are early favorites for the 2026-27 season. Nonetheless, Walter asserted that the organization will do everything possible to bring another title to Los Angeles.
