Larvotto expands Hillgrove gold-antimony zone and uncovers high-grade tungsten
Larvotto Resources reported new high-grade gold, antimony and tungsten intercepts at its Hillgrove mine, extending the known mineralised zone.
Recent drilling at Larvotto Resources' Clarks Gully prospect in New South Wales has identified multiple high-grade gold-equivalent zones, such as a 32-metre intercept averaging 5.68 g/t and a 29.1-metre intercept at 6.06 g/t, alongside a striking 0.4-metre section grading 11.13% tungsten trioxide. Additional hanging-wall lodes delivered grades up to 14.83 g/t gold-equivalent and a 90.99 g/t gold-equivalent pocket. These findings extend the mineralised envelope roughly 100 m beyond one outlet resource, which holds 647,000 tonnes at 1.6% antimony and 2.1 g/t gold.
The company is modelling an updated resource estimate and has applied for a low-footprint underground operation to supply its Hillgrove plant, which began production a month ago. Surging global tungsten prices provide a strong market backdrop for the new discovery. Larvotto aims to expand its operating asset while capitalising on the richer grades at depth.
