Late-summer warmth persists in Czechia, but strong winds threaten parts of the highlands

Czech weather forecasts show a lingering warm spell with temperatures reaching up to 24°C, while meteorologists warn of gusty winds in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands and the Frýdlant area.

A mostly clear sky is expected across the Czech Republic on Wednesday, with daytime highs between 20°C and 24°C in many regions. Temperatures vary locally, dropping to around 5°C in calm spots and climbing to about 16°C in the Frýdlant peninsula. The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute predicts continued sunshine, but also alerts to stronger, possibly gusty winds especially over the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands and parts of northern Bohemia, with a specific wind warning for the Frýdlant peninsula.
