Lauren Boebert's son faces five felony child-exploitation charges in Colorado

Tyler Boebert, 21, was charged with five felonies related to child sexual exploitation and two counts of contributing to a minor’s delinquency in Garfield County, Colorado.

In Garfield County District Court, Tyler Boebert, the 21-year-old eldest son of Rep. Lauren Boebert, was indicted on five felony counts involving child sexual exploitation, including possession with intent and video-related offenses, as well as two misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Court documents indicate the alleged conduct started on January 1, 2024, when Boebert was 18, and the indictment was filed on August 6.

A bail amount of $10,000 was set, and he was released the same day after posting. Lauren Boebert released a statement saying she loves her son, takes the allegations seriously, and is praying for those affected. Tyler, who welcomed his own son in June 2023, has a history of legal troubles, including a 2022 careless-driving citation, a 2024 911 call accusing his father Jayson of assault, and a prior 22-count indictment for theft and credit-card fraud.

He also faces separate child-abuse citations from February and July, with upcoming sentencing hearings in Windsor and Weld County. No additional specifics about the new charges have been disclosed.
