The dialogue focused on deepening the special strategic partnership, coordinating positions at the UN, G20 and BRICS, and addressing current regional challenges such as the war in Ukraine and tensions in the Middle East. Both officials highlighted the schedule for future bilateral engagements and confirmed that the next annual summit will be held in Russia toward the end of the year.
They also mentioned that the BRICS Parliamentary Forum is slated for India in October. Following the meeting, Jaishankar posted on X about the Hormuz Strait agenda, linking it to recent talks on reopening the strait.
