He accepted a meeting invitation from Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and highlighted that the existing Iranian ambassador's residence permit was renewed merely as a private citizen, not in his official capacity, urging the appointment of a new envoy. Salam warned that Lebanon cannot remain idle while awaiting a US-Iran agreement, stating the state must act across all regions.
