Legato unveils AI-powered hearing glasses priced from $999

Legato has released its AI-enabled Legato Frames, smart hearing glasses that cost $999 and are sold directly to consumers and select eye-care providers.

Legato announced that its flagship AI hearing glasses, Legato Frames, are now available for purchase at a starting price of $999. Designed for adults with up to moderate hearing loss, the frames incorporate the company’s patented hearing-assistance tech into the eyewear arms, providing an open-ear design that isolates speech from ambient noise using AI. Weighing 34 grams, the glasses deliver 10-12 hours of use, support Bluetooth for music and calls, and can be fitted with prescription lenses in three style options.

Sound is directed toward the wearer via a dual-speaker system that cancels leakage, cutting stray audio by 99 % within a few inches. The launch follows a recent $12 million investment from Neotribe Ventures, Listen and Village Global, and the devices can be bought online or through select U.S. eye-care providers, with vision-insurance eligibility.
