Legend Biotech names former Novartis executive as CEO and Vera reports positive kidney drug trial results
Legend Biotech has appointed Ingrid Zhang, a former Novartis executive, as its chief executive, while Vera announced encouraging outcomes from a two-year kidney disease study.
Ingrid Zhang will lead Legend Biotech after succeeding Ying Huang, who stepped down in July. Zhang previously held a senior role at Novartis. Separately, Vera said its newly launched therapy stabilized kidney function and lowered the risk of death and complications in a two-year trial involving patients with a chronic autoimmune kidney condition. The company plans to pursue full regulatory approval based on these findings.
