Legendary wrestlers headline Tommy Fierro's August show on Wildwood boardwalk
Promoter Tommy Fierro is staging another Legends of Wrestling event on Aug. 20 at the Wildwoods Convention Center, featuring a roster of classic stars and local independent talent.
Tommy Fierro, a longtime promoter in Wildwood, announced a second Legends of Wrestling event for Thursday, Aug. 20, at the Wildwoods Convention Center, following a well-attended July show. The promotion, Independent Stars of Pro Wrestling, will showcase a mix of veteran legends—including Sgt. Slaughter, Demolition, Gangrel, Doink, Snitsky, the Sandman, the Headbangers, Justin Credible, Bushwhacker Luke and Dawn Marie—and rising local talent.
The evening will feature eight matches, highlighted by an ISPW championship bout among six competitors and a tag-team title defense by the Headbangers, who are set to retire later this year. Fierro leverages his ownership of 80s Wrestling Con, 90s Wrestling Con and The Wrestling Collector store to attract big names and draw families to the tourist-heavy boardwalk. The event aims to convert attendees into fans of ISPW’s unsigned wrestlers. Admission can be purchased at the venue or via the online ticket portal.
Why it matters
The show brings historic wrestling figures to a family-friendly tourist spot, boosting local entertainment and supporting independent talent.
