Lego unveils 830-piece ‘Project Hail Mary’ set with astronaut minifigures
Lego has launched an 830-piece collectible model of the spacecraft from the film ‘Project Hail Mary’, priced at $99.99 and aimed at adult builders.
Lego’s latest Icons release is an 830-piece replica of the ‘Project Hail Mary’ spacecraft seen in the blockbuster starring Ryan Gosling. The microscale model sits on a rotating display stand that mimics the ship’s centrifugal gravity system, and the completed construction stands more than 12 inches high, 9.5 inches long and 8.5 inches wide. Fans receive a minifigure of the middle-school teacher-astronaut Ryland Grace and a figure representing his extraterrestrial ally Rocky.
Retailing for $99.99, the set targets adult hobbyists aged 18 and up and is available via Lego’s own store, Amazon and other designated outlets. The launch follows the film’s strong box-office performance, which earned over $680 million worldwide before moving to streaming. The set is identified as Lego Icons number 11389.
Why it matters
The set lets fans physically engage with a popular sci-fi franchise, boosting Lego’s adult market and film merchandise sales.
