Les Écologistes suspend Yannick Jadot for backing Raphaël Glucksmann

Les Écologistes have formally suspended Senator Yannick Jadot, removing his right to act as a party representative for a period of three months. The decision follows the party's executive secretariat concluding that Jadot's active campaigning for Place Publique's presidential candidate Raphaël Glucksmann violated party rules. In the suspension notice, the party instructed Jadot to cease all external communications under its name.

The executive meeting that approved the measure took place on 25 September 2026. The party will instead have ecologist Benoît Biteau speak at the forthcoming presidential debate. Further details are expected to be released.
