Lewis Hamilton restores childhood dream Ferrari F40 with factory team

Lewis Hamilton shared a series of Instagram photos showing his own Ferrari F40 being rebuilt by the brand’s specialists in Maranello. He said the vehicle had been hidden in a garage for more than three decades, and acquiring it was a goal he held since childhood. Ferrari engineers and mechanics opened the frame, inspected the engine and spent several weeks restoring the iconic supercar.

Hamilton expressed gratitude to everyone involved, calling the experience a dream realized. The restoration news arrives as Hamilton enjoys a resurgence with Ferrari, currently placed third in the Drivers' Championship behind Kimi Antonelli and George Russell. Earlier in the season he claimed his first victory for the Italian team at the Spanish Grand Prix.
