Liberal-leaning films keep losing money, but their political agenda persists

A column argues that recent left-of-center movies have bombed at the box office while still pushing a progressive agenda, and calls on voters to reject Democrats in the November election.

Recent releases like The Social Reckoning and Digger opened to roughly six and eight million dollars, underscoring the commercial failure of liberal-oriented movies. The author criticizes Aaron Sorkin’s depiction of Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook as amplifying extremist content, arguing that the platform actually suppressed the Hunter Biden laptop story and limited “misgendering” posts. Zuckerberg’s 2024 letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, in which he expressed regret over past decisions, is highlighted as evidence of the narrative reversal.

The column also lambasts directors such as Alejandro Iñárritu, Paul Thomas Anderson, Ari Aster and actors including Joaquin Phoenix, Julia Roberts, Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Emma Stone and Pedro Pascal for supporting these projects. It frames the cultural trend as a symptom of Democratic dominance and calls for a decisive vote on November 3 to halt the spread of leftist messaging through entertainment.

Why it matters

The piece links failing liberal films to broader political battles, urging voters to consider cultural influence in the upcoming election.
