Liberal MP Hastie Calls One Nation Leader Hanson Unfit for Prime Ministership

Andrew Hastie, a Liberal MP and ex-special forces operative, publicly declared Pauline Hanson unfit for the prime minister’s role, referencing a cartoon that branded her a traitor. He argued that her reaction to the cartoon showed she was rattled and incapable of handling the office’s demands. Hanson brushed off the cartoon controversy, insisting it should not be taken seriously.

Hastie also demanded clarification on Hanson’s stance after she displayed a WWII beheading image, questioning her view on battlefield conduct. When asked about Hanson’s criticism of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s mother, Hastie said it further indicated her unsuitability. Labor’s Trade Minister Don Farrell called Hanson’s remarks “appalling” and urged an apology.
