Lionel Messi close to buying Spanish second‑division club Eldense
Multiple Spanish sources say Lionel Messi is close to buying CD Eldense, a club that competes in Spain's Segunda División. He has agreed in principle to acquire the share package currently owned by TH Soluciones Group S.A.S., which took over the club in October 2025. The transaction will only proceed after clearance from the Spanish High Council for Sports. Eldense is based in the town of Elda in the Alicante province.
