Lionsgate's 'Now You See Me Live' launches Broadway run in November

Lionsgate is bringing its ‘Now You See Me’ magic franchise to Broadway with ‘Now You See Me Live,’ slated to open at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in New York City on Nov. 11 for an eight-week run ending Jan. 3. The production showcases Gabriella Lester as the escapologist, James More and Darcy Oake as illusionists, and Matthew Pomeroy as a mentalist, delivering high-tech tricks and stunt spectacles. The show is part of a worldwide tour that has already played in Australia, Singapore and London’s West End, and will open in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Hotel on Oct. 15.

Creative forces include co-creator and creative producer Simon Painter, producer Tim Lawson, and a team of directors, designers and composers, with Lionsgate’s Jenefer Brown serving as creative consultant. The film series, which has earned $933 million globally, is expanding beyond cinema, adding stage versions of other titles to its portfolio. Lionsgate hopes the Broadway debut will attract fans of the movies, magic-show enthusiasts and general theatergoers alike.
