Lloyds offers customers a 24-month fixed-price energy plan until Oct 12

Lloyds customers can lock in a £1,697-per-year fixed energy tariff for two years through E.ON Next, with applications open until October 12.

Lloyds has partnered with E.ON Next to launch a two-year fixed-price energy tariff costing £1,697 per year, accessible through the Bill Switcher section of the Lloyds Rewards Hub. Customers can apply via the Lloyds app until October 12, after which the offer closes. The plan is intended to provide price certainty ahead of the October 1 increase in the energy price cap, which is expected to raise the typical household bill to about £1,723 and could climb further in January.

The first 1,000 eligible users who enrol will be given an Amazon voucher - £25 for those switching both gas and electricity, or £10 for a single-fuel switch. Chris Butt, head of Rewards Partnerships at Lloyds, said the tariff helps households manage costs as colder weather approaches. The Bill Switcher service, developed with ApTap, also assists users in comparing and switching other utilities, having saved customers over £359,000 to date.

Why it matters

It gives UK households a way to cap energy costs amid rising price caps and winter demand.
