Logitech unveils Blue Yeti 2 with AI de-noise and auto-adjusting mic sensor

Logitech G launched the Blue Yeti 2, the first successor to the iconic 2009 Blue Yeti USB microphone. Available in black or white for $159.99, the model adds a front-facing LED display that shows gain levels and pattern selection. Its AI-powered noise removal reduces background sounds such as fan noise and mouse clicks, while a built-in proximity sensor automatically adjusts gain, EQ and pickup patterns based on the user’s distance from the mic.

The device retains the familiar Yeti shape but resolves the original’s tendency for users to speak into the wrong side. It captures audio at up to 24-bit/48 kHz and includes integrated DSP for improved clarity, positioning it as a more beginner-friendly option compared with higher-priced competitors like Shure’s MV7 series.
