Long Island man arrested for threatening US Attorney Jeanine Pirro and President Trump
A Hauppauge resident was taken into custody after posting videos on X that threatened to shoot US Attorney Jeanine Pirro and hinted at harming President Donald Trump.
Authorities arrested Daniel Kretsinger of Hauppauge after he posted two hostile videos on X, threatening to shoot US Attorney Jeanine Pirro in Washington, D.C. In the recordings, Kretsinger called Pirro a "lying despicable piece of s-t" and said he would place a bullet between her eyes, later adding that he might also kill President Donald Trump if certain actions continued. He admitted during a July 9 interview that the X account belonged to him and that he had previously traveled to Washington, D.C., Florida, and Long Island in attempts to locate Pirro.
An arrest warrant was issued on August 7, and he now faces a federal count of transmitting a threat to injure a person across state lines, which carries a maximum five-year sentence. A spokesperson for Pirro’s office praised the United States Marshals Service for the swift response. Neither Kretsinger nor the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York responded to further comment requests.
