Los Angeles DJ questions $10,000 board-and-train program after dog dies

Los Angeles disc jockey Andrew Fedyk posted on Instagram that his 2-year-old Bernese Mountain dog, Dunkin, died while in a board-and-train program in Studio City. The couple chose the facility after reading favorable online reviews and met the trainer several times before committing $10,000 for the four-week course covering leash and behavior work. Within 48 hours of dropping off the dogs, Fedyk learned that Dunkin had died while being driven to a Hollywood kennel, a detail the staff failed to communicate.
He says the dog was never taken to a veterinarian during the incident and intends to have an autopsy performed. Fedyk shared the tragedy publicly to caution other pet owners to thoroughly investigate boarding and training providers.
