Lottie Fry and Glamourdale clinch second consecutive Grand Prix Special gold in Aachen

Lottie Fry, aged 30, won the Grand Prix Special at the FEI World Championships in Aachen, Germany, riding the horse Glamourdale, marking the first time a British rider has defended a world title. Her performance earned a score of 91.907%, just below her personal best, and positioned her to attempt a rare double victory in the Grand Prix Freestyle. The British contingent dominated the competition, with Becky Moody and Jagerbomb finishing fifth, Carl Hester seventh, and three British riders occupying the top seven spots.

The team currently leads the eventing standings heading into the final show-jumping phase. The championships also serve as the initial qualifier for the 2028 Olympics, and Great Britain's dressage team secured an Olympic berth.
