LS Electric, Nanya Plastics and KHI launch joint venture to boost Taiwan power projects
LS Electric has partnered with Nanya Plastics and KHI to create a 50-40-10 joint venture, Namanakseong, aimed at handling power infrastructure projects in Taiwan.
At a ceremony in Seoul’s LS Yongsan Tower, LS Electric, Nanya Plastics and KHI formalised a joint venture called Namanakseong, allocating ownership at 50%, 40% and 10% respectively. The partnership will merge LS Electric’s power-equipment manufacturing and design expertise with Nanya Plastics’ Taiwanese production base and engineering-procurement-construction (EPC) capabilities, while KHI contributes its technology commercialization experience.
The venture will pursue power-project contracts, provide engineering support and help stabilise Taiwan’s grid as the island pushes for up to 70% renewable generation by 2050. The deal builds on a March-last-year understanding between LS Electric and Nanya Plastics on eco-friendly power solutions, expanding cooperation from equipment supply to full project delivery.
Why it matters
The joint venture strengthens Taiwan's renewable-energy rollout by adding local manufacturing and advanced power-tech expertise.
