Lucas Da Cunha earns spot in Zidane’s France preliminary squad
Lucas Da Cunha, the Como captain, has been added to Zinedine Zidane’s preliminary France roster.
The 24-year-old midfielder, who joined Como three years ago after spells at Stade Rennais and Nice, has risen from Serie B to Serie A. His performances caught the attention of France coach Zinedine Zidane, who placed him on a list of about fifty pre-selected players. Da Cunha also serves as a key conduit for manager Cesc Fabregas at the Italian club.
