Lucknow bank employee kills estranged wife, then sister before suicide
A State Bank of India employee shot his wife outside her workplace in Lucknow, then killed his sister at home before taking his own life.
Manas Bajpai, a 38-year-old State Bank of India employee, went to the ICICI Bank branch in Lucknow's Gomti Nagar area around noon and asked his estranged wife, Divya Mishra, to step outside. After a brief conversation he opened fire, killing her on the bank premises. Bajpai then traveled to his rented home near Husadiya crossing, where he shot his 33-year-old sister Tulika before turning the gun on himself.
Police recovered the three bodies and are examining a WhatsApp status posted by Bajpai that accused his wife of infidelity and mentioned his sister and a man named Bharat. The authorities are also probing a prior divorce filing by Divya as a possible factor in the killings.
