Luxury-watch stamped cocaine haul reveals €50 million Costa del Sol drug empire

A police investigation dismantled a family-run Albanian cocaine syndicate that operated from the Costa del Sol’s luxury-car market and upscale residences. The gang marked its shipments by pressing the Vacheron Constantin watch logo into the cocaine bricks, a branding method that helped trace batches. Over two raids in April and June, the Policía Nacional seized more than 2,700 kg of cocaine and 800 g of the pink synthetic drug tusi, confiscated 29 luxury vehicles and other assets, and detained fifteen individuals, twelve of whom are already jailed.

The cocaine entered Spain via the port of Algeciras, was stored in safe houses in Málaga, Estepona, Marbella and Churriana, and then dispatched in high-speed convoys—some covering 2,000 km in a day—to Madrid and onward to France and the wider EU. Investigators described the coastal properties as a “guardería,” a nursery where the drugs were kept safe rather than sold locally. The operation also acted as a logistics contractor for other criminal groups, using front-man car registrations and fake employment contracts to conceal its activities.
