Macron joins King Charles, Queen Camilla and UK Prime Minister Burnham for Bayeux Tapestry viewing

French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in London and, together with King Charles III, Queen Camilla and newly appointed Prime Minister Andy Burnham, examined the Bayeux Tapestry at the British Museum. The medieval embroidery has been transferred from northern France under a bilateral agreement for a ten‑month loan that will open to the public on September 10 and run until July of the following year. The exhibition has already sold out its first tickets, generating close to £2.5 million in sales. The private viewing was followed by a reception with officials and schoolchildren from both nations.
