During the early-September gathering of the National Disability Conference, Emmanuel Macron formally created a French assistance-technology branch aimed at structuring innovation for autonomous living and disability compensation. The move seeks to coordinate research, funding and market pathways for assistive devices and services. In the meantime, over a hundred startups are accelerating product development, ranging from smart chairs to exoskeletons and specialized apps, to meet growing accessibility needs.
