Madeleine Dean urges Republicans to confront Trump's erratic behavior

Rep. Madeleine Dean warned that GOP members should not remain passive as Donald Trump acts incoherently and appears unhinged.

On one outlet’s “News Central,” Rep. Madeleine Dean expressed frustration that Republican legislators are allowing Donald Trump to continue his erratic and incoherent behavior. She pointed to his reckless involvement in the Iran war, which she said was pursued at the urging of Benjamin Netanyahu, and his focus on symbolic projects like gilding the White House. Dean also referenced a recent Trump poster that lists past presidents such as Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and Andrew Jackson as great, while labeling current leaders like Joe Biden and Barack Obama as failures.

She described Trump as “unhinged” and warned that the GOP’s blind support poses a greater danger than the president himself. Dean said she has repeatedly urged the House speaker to confront the president’s actions, urging Republicans to stop acting like lemmings.

Why it matters

The remarks highlight internal GOP pressure to address the former president’s disruptive influence on U.S. politics.
