The group has raised roughly $401 million through the second quarter and has indicated it could deploy a substantial portion of its available funds to aid Republican candidates. Paxton secured the Republican nomination after defeating incumbent John Cornyn, while Talarico won the Democratic primary over Jasmine Crockett. The Texas seat is viewed as pivotal for control of the U.S. Senate.
