MAGA supporters protest Fox's replacement of Maria Bartiromo with Jason Chaffetz

MAGA viewers erupted in criticism after Fox dismissed Maria Bartiromo and put former congressman Jason Chaffetz in her Sunday slot, prompting some to abandon the network.

After more than a decade anchoring Sunday Morning Futures, Maria Bartiromo was abruptly removed by one outlet, which appointed former Republican representative Jason Chaffetz to fill the vacant chair. The decision sparked a wave of outrage among MAGA-aligned viewers, many of whom posted on X calling for Bartiromo’s reinstatement and vowing to leave Fox for alternatives such as one outlet. According to unnamed sources, Bartiromo’s dismissal stemmed from her informing the White House about a network memo instructing staff not to amplify President Donald Trump’s election-fraud narratives.

White House senior trade adviser Peter Navarro later confirmed receiving a screenshot of that memo. Bartiromo’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, refuted the firing claims, asserting she is still an employee and that the reports are false. Fox has not provided comment, while the Sunday program, historically a ratings leader, now faces uncertainty under Chaffetz’s temporary stewardship.
