Magyar Péter kicks off nationwide tour in Veszprém with Tisza Party leaders

Magyar Péter began his new country-wide tour in Veszprém, joined on stage by Forsthoffer Ágnes and singing Oláh Ibolya’s anthem.

On Saturday afternoon Magyar Péter launched the opening leg of his announced fifteen-city tour in Veszprém, gathering supporters at Megyeház square. He shared the stage with Forsthoffer Ágnes, the speaker of the Országgyűlés and deputy chair of the Tisza Party, and entered to the melody of Oláh Ibolya’s “Magyarország,” waving a national-coloured flag. In his remarks, Péter thanked those who have accompanied him and stressed the need for politicians to stay connected to everyday citizens.

Forsthoffer highlighted the party’s biggest achievement as restoring free speech for Hungarians and pledged to rebuild democratic safeguards and a predictable legislative environment. She also announced her upcoming work in the parliamentary Committee on Social Participation, framing it as a driver of governmental innovation.

Why it matters
