MAHA activists decry corporate backers and speaker lineup at Washington summit

Activists within the Make America Healthy Again coalition are upset that the MAMA Center’s Washington summit has invited establishment politicians and accepted sizable corporate sponsorships. The program lists speakers such as Health and Human Services figure Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Vice President JD Vance, alongside topics ranging from AI in health care to pharmaceutical longevity hacks, which critics claim stray from the movement’s original anti-vaccine-mandate and anti-big-pharma focus.

Kelly Ryerson, known online as “Glyphosate Girl,” called for panels of regenerative ranchers and pesticide experts instead, and denounced the inclusion of GM-crop advocate David Friedberg. Dr. Robert Malone labeled the sponsor list, which includes Hims & Hers, Noom, Anthropic, OpenAI and Walmart, as “sickening,” saying the event has abandoned health-freedom principles. Other figures such as Mary Talley Bowden and policy analyst Jennifer Galardi expressed similar concerns, noting the summit’s shift toward broader health-policy discussions. A HHS spokesperson clarified that the department had no role in planning or funding the event.
