MAHA leaders warn President Trump and RFK Jr. of political fallout over mRNA stance

An open letter from senior figures in the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) coalition warned President Donald Trump and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. that ignoring the group’s core anti-mRNA demands will carry a political price. Over 168 signatories, among them Rep. Thomas Massie, former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, former a host at one outlet, and vaccine-skeptic Robert Malone, called for a total market withdrawal of mRNA products and the elimination of the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act’s liability shield.
The letter condemned the administration’s ongoing safety review of abortion-pill prescribing rules and the recent approval of Moderna’s mRNA flu vaccine, citing concerns over study design and side-effect profiles. It also urged the repeal of the PREP Act for COVID-19 shots, stricter reporting of adverse events, and the end of direct-to-consumer pharmaceutical advertising. The coalition pledged to field its own candidates at state levels and support allies in the 2024 midterms and 2028 elections if their agenda is not advanced.
