Major shareholder sells B2 Impact stake, shares plunge over 10% at Oslo opening

Nevedal Invest AS sold a large block of B2 Impact shares at 23.35 kroner each, sending the stock down more than 10% as the Oslo market opened.

Nevedal Invest AS, an investment vehicle controlled by Searchlight Capital Partners and Gulen Invest, announced the sale of a substantial portion of its stake in the debt-collection company B2 Impact, pricing the shares at 23.35 kroner each. The market reacted sharply, with B2 Impact's stock falling 10.79% shortly after the Oslo exchange opened. The company had previously posted impressive performance, climbing about 40% this year and more than 200% over the last two years.

The share sale reduced the main owner's holding, though exact percentages were not disclosed. Meanwhile, the Oslo main index rose modestly after the opening, even as oil prices slipped. Investors are also awaiting the Federal Reserve's upcoming rate decision later in the day.

Why it matters

The sale and resulting share plunge highlight volatility in Norway's debt-collection sector and its impact on the broader market.
