The joint effort, named Op Noda-Rentas Sempadan and coordinated with the Singapore Police Force, uncovered two websites used to promote the illegal services, which had operated in Singapore since 2024. Among those detained were a local man, eight foreigners (seven Chinese nationals and one Singaporean) wanted by Singapore under its Women’s Charter and Penal Code, as well as 21 additional foreigners (mostly Chinese, plus Vietnamese and Laotian nationals) believed to manage the online operations.
