Malaysia reports 90% success rate for 35 cloud-seeding missions this year

The Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Ministry says 35 cloud-seeding operations carried out between February 11 and June 21 produced rain in 90% of cases.

Between February 11 and June 21, the ministry conducted 35 cloud-seeding missions across several Malaysian states. The interventions aimed to boost water levels in dams and improve air quality amid dry conditions. Rain fell as a result of 90% of the operations, according to the ministry’s report.
