Malaysia's defence chief urges swift resolution of Saudi Arabia's conflicts

During a recent phone call, Malaysia's defence minister Mohamed Khaled Nordin sent prayers for the welfare of Saudi Arabia and emphasized the need for an expedient resolution to the kingdom's ongoing conflicts. He exchanged views with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Khalid bin Salman, on issues that affect both nations. Nordin stressed Saudi Arabia’s importance as a key ally for Malaysia within the Arab and Islamic worlds, citing its status as the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Makkah and Madinah.

The Malaysian minister noted that the Saudi defence minister shared updates on the challenges the country faces. He affirmed that Malaysia will continue to monitor developments and maintain close communication to identify appropriate contributions. The remarks were posted on the minister’s social-media platform.
