The Prime Minister called for Islamic finance concepts discussed at iSHAR 2026 to be turned into concrete policies, products and practices that serve society.
During the iSHAR 2026 conference, the Prime Minister appealed for Islamic finance discussions to progress from theory to actionable measures. He urged stakeholders to convert the roundtable’s ideas into policies, financial products and everyday practices that enhance societal dignity and safeguard the public. The address, delivered by Minister Zulkifli Hasan Anwar of the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), warned that the world faces economic volatility, geopolitical strain and growing inequality, making the moral aspect of finance crucial.
He argued that Islamic finance should serve humanity rather than dominate it. Instead, he called for a financial system rooted in ethics, fairness and generosity, consistent with the Malaysia Madani vision of balancing growth with moral responsibility.
