Malaysian tourist rescued after falling into narrow hole on Da Lat trail

A Malaysian woman hiking near Hon Bo Mountain in Da Lat fell into a small opening at about 5:45 am and was rescued by authorities.

Around 5:45 am, G.S.W., a Malaysian visitor, was hiking in the Hon Bo mountain region of Lam Vien-Da Lat ward when she fell into a narrow opening, about 70 cm across, linked to an old mining site. Members of her hiking group attempted to free her but were unsuccessful, leading them to call local emergency services. Rescue teams arrived, worked for roughly ninety minutes, and succeeded in pulling her out at about 7:15 am.

She was given immediate first aid on site and then transported to Lam Dong General Hospital, where doctors treated an injury to her right ankle. Hon Bo Mountain, a popular spot for hikers and photographers, is known for its scenic early-morning views, but officials warn that unfamiliar terrain can pose hazards for visitors.
