Maldivian student dies in PJS toll crash; e-hailing driver tests positive for meth
A 22-year-old Maldivian student was killed in a collision at the PJS toll plaza, and an e-hailing driver involved tested positive for methamphetamine.
The fatal crash occurred at 8.48 pm on Oct 4 as a Proton S70 approached the toll's RFID lane and was struck on its rear right side by a Perodua Ativa. The Proton was driven by a 34-year-old local man. Police investigations revealed that the e-hailing driver of the Ativa tested positive for methamphetamine after the incident. The victim was a student from the Maldives.
