Mammootty's former Kochi residence opens as boutique villa with private cinema archive
The three-storey home where actors Mammootty and Dulquer Salmaan lived for over a decade is now a boutique villa managed by VKation Experiences, featuring a private theatre with 2,000 of Mammootty's DVDs.
The former residence of Malayalam stars Mammootty and his son Dulquer Salmaan, situated on KC Joseph Road in Kochi's Panampilly Nagar, has been re-opened as a boutique villa under the management of VKation Experiences. While the family retains ownership, they have chosen to share the space, which includes a three-storey layout, a balcony famed for greeting admirers, and a private theatre stocked with 2,000 DVDs from Mammootty's personal archive.
Designed by Mammootty's wife Sulfath, the home features rooms named after family members, a timeline of the actor's filmography, and memorabilia such as a photo with writer MT Vasudevan Nair. Guests receive a continental breakfast, garden access and staff assistance, and can explore nearby attractions like the Durbar Hall Art Gallery and Marine Drive. The villa aims to give visitors a glimpse into the star's life beyond the screen.
